Israel: The Baha’i World Centre

The Baha’i World Centre in Haifa, Israel, is the spiritual and administrative centre built primarily for the pilgrims who travel here from all around the world to visit the Shrine of the Bab. The architecture is a magnificent blend of East and West and the Hanging Gardens comprise 19 terraces that spread from the crest to the foot of Mt. Carmel and combine the latest in environmental and irrigation technology, vital in a country were water is scarce. For more information: check out episode #167 in the International category.
