Boulogne, France: Ocean Ecology at Nausicaa


We visit the ancient town of Boulogne In the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region of France. It is the country’s largest fishing port with a rich maritime heritage and an innovative aquarium. Although Nausicaa was founded in 1981 to raise awareness about our oceans, it continues to expand its knowledge and attractions. The aquarium features ocean life, educates visitors on the importance of marine ecology and the management of commercial fisheries, and offers wildlife adoption programs and interactive experiences for children.
