Czech Republic: Prague – Capital City & Heart of Bohemia


We explore Prague the Capital City of the Czech Republic that sits astride the Vitava River. A tour of the historic heart of Bohemia begins at the Charles Bridge then on to the massive complex of Prague Castle once home to Czech Kings and now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Within its walls we discover museums, intriguing laneways, the tomb of St. Wenceslas, and watch the Changing of the Guard. The city is famous for its architecture from Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque, to the modern Ginger & Fred building designed by Frank Gehry. Along the way we sample local beer, visit a marionette theatre and explore the Jewish Quarter with the oldest Synagogue in Europe.
