Caribbean: Turks & Caicos – The Underwater World


The novice diver can stay in an all-inclusive resort, learn the basics of scuba diving, and safely experience a shallow dive in the underwater world of the Turks and Caicos Islands. There are over 20 different dive locations and the islands sit within the Princess Alexandra Marine Park, a 6532 acre reserve that prohibits motorized traffic and protects the reef, marine life, beaches and wetlands. Taiwan: Taipei’s Treasures – The National Palace Museum


The National Palace Museum in Taipei, Taiwan, is home to the world’s largest collection of Chinese art. The collection dates back over 1,000 years and was originally housed in the Forbidden City in Peking. South Africa: The Taste of Travel


Beef may be a mainstay in the South African diet, but on our travels we enjoy a diverse culinary experience including scallops, shrimp, Cape Malay curries, venison, the spicy dishes of Soweto, stews, local vegetables and a buffet in a game reserve where crocodile can sometimes be on the menu. USA: Detroit – Henry Ford Museum


Detroit in Michigan is aptly named ‘Motor City’ for its historical connections with the automotive industry. Here’s another historical connection with which you might not be so familiar. Edison’s last breath, the rocking chair in which Abraham Lincoln sat the night he was assassinated, an Allegheny locomotive built in 1941, more than a hundred cars, a parade of presidential limos and thousands of artifacts – all can be seen at the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit, the largest indoor-outdoor historical complex in the world. Hong Kong: Gateway to China


Hong Kong may be the gateway to China but on our travels we found it much more than a simple stop-over destination. Denmark: The Fairytale Kingdom


Did the Vikings discover the route to China? Findings in the graves of a Viking burial site discovered near Lindholm Høje near Aalborg in Denmark during WW2 had some amazing revelations about the travels and the culture of this society. Our explorations of the oldest kingdom in Europe revealed that its rich history and culture can be found in Copenhagen and throughout the three land masses that comprise the country. Denmark: A Kingdom of Castles


Denmark is the oldest kingdom in Europe and contains a variety of castles built by Kings and nobles all striving to create masterpieces and outdo each other. History, legends and fiction intertwine as we visit Kronborg better known in Shakespeare’s Hamlet as Elsinor, Frederiksborg built across three islands to protect the entrance to the Sound, Egeskov a Renaissance moated castle located on a lake in an oak forest, Ermitagen, a hunting lodge, and Legoland in Billund for modern replicas of many castles including Amalienborg, Copenhagen’s current Royal residence. Mexico: Cozumel – Underwater Paradise


We experience drift and wall diving as we explore the largest barrier reef in the Western hemisphere off the Island of Cozumel in Mexico. The Mesoamerica Reef is the second largest in the world and comprises 65 different coral reef species. The Giana Current that flows across this area flushes out the flora and fauna providing a clarity and visibility that is almost unsurpassed in the Caribbean waters. It allows you to see miles of coral reef as you swim with over 250 species of tropical fish, as well as turtles and stingrays. The town of San Miguel offers an above ground break with Mayan handicrafts that give insight to the Island’s cultural origins.
